Hello everyone! As most of you know I have a hobby of Monogramming. I have been taking orders from friends and family for a few months and needed a way to let people view what I have done. So, I created a sewing blog. I have just made some updates. I added slide shows and a price list. I hope it is easy to follow. If anyone has any questions please let me know! I hope you enjoy. The website is www.sewsimplegifts.blogspot.com. Thanks!

MDO meet the teachers.

Ford went to meet his teachers at mothers day out today. He did surprisingly well. He of course cried as soon as we walked in, but he soon got down and started to play. His teachers are really good. He took to them quickly. When we came back from the parents meeting he was still playing and having a great time. He was laughing and talking. This was very shocking to me, because he still make the ladies at Sunday school hold him the entire time. So, I think he is going to love his play time away from Mom. It is going to be weird for me the first few weeks. I am thankful today went so well. (By the way the picture with his teachers he is crying for the camera)

Working on the race car with Daddy.

I took Ford over to his Pops house to help his daddy work on the race car. Ford loves anything that allows him to be outside and get dirty. So as you can tell he jumped right in getting a tool from Kyle and went to banging on stuff. He played with the motor lift. He even looked on with Dad and Pops to do some last changes. Then he was off to actually get in a car. He loved turning the wheel and then acting like he was shifting the gears. That is what he is doing in the last picture. Oh, I can see many years to come of this.

I want to be like my Daddy!

Ford is just like his Daddy! He loves anything boy. He is not scared of much. Tonight we took Daddy and Pops dinner before they worked on the car. Ford of course had to go down and see the cars. He loved getting in and driving. We took a few pictures of him steering. I think I am going to have another race car driver in my future. Once he got a chance to get in the car he had to put a little work in. you can't have fun with no work. Pops gave him some tools to help fix the cars. He loved it. Excuse that he is in a diaper, but we had on nice clothes that I didn't want to mess up. Ford took right to helping. He even started to walk around the car holding his tools. I think Kyle enjoyed sharing his hobby with Ford. Oh the joys of watching your child grow up and become their own little person! We are so blessed with Ford.

Growing boy.

Pictures are in the wrong order, but Ford has started to walk! The week we got back from the beach he took off, walking every where. There is a picture of him walking in his keds. With his walking he has become a dare devil! Climbing and standing on everything. Below is a picture of him standing in his chair trying to open the door. This past weekend Ford got bit by a bug and had an acute sever reaction. The bit is actually on his cheek and it spread to his eye. When he smiled it looked like Chucky off of the Goonies so I had to take a photo. The other is just a normal shot of his face with the bite. It is sad. When he wakes up from a nap it is almost swollen shut. He is talking benedryl and Motrin. He is slowly getting better. Poor Ford!

It has been awhile!

It has been a while since I have posted. Here are five pictures of the first part of June. We filled Ford's pool he got for his birthday and he loved it. We have gotten in it several times. This month we also helped my sister move and Ford got to get on the fork lift with Papa and he loved it. He is such a boy! We went to beach at with my family and we had sooo much fun. There is a picture of us playing putt putt. Ford loved the beach if you can't tell by the pictures. He was coverd in Sand from head to toe. He was not scared of the water either. he loved the waves he would laugh when they would hit him. There was a small lake on the beach from the tide over night. Ford loved to crawl through it. Again not scared of anything. He is becoming such a big boy.

Ford's ONE year check up.

I forgot to post about Ford's ONE year check up.He went on the 11th. He did great. He cried the most when they made him lay down, go figure. With the shots he only cried for a minute. He is still petite. He weighed in at 20 pounds 7 ounces, which is the 25th percentile. He was 29 inches long, which is also the 25th percentile. His head circumference was 18 inches. He is holding up to being just like his dad. Kyle said the goodwin men were all small and then get a growth spurt in high school. We will see. Everything else about Ford is just like his dad looks, cowlicks, smile and mannerisms. Maybe our next will have something from me! Haha!

Ford took is first steps!!

Yesterday Ford took his first steps with out holding onto the couch!!! He took three or four steps. He did this a few times. Today he has gotten brave. He has been walking to me several times. Tonight he even started walking to get toys in the floor. This was the first time he walked without coming to Kyle or me. It will not be long now before he gets it down pat. We have conquered the fear so the hard part is over. I am so proud of him. He is growing so fast! Sorry no pictures. I did get a short video of it. I will post pictures as soon as I get one.

Easter Sunday with Family!

We had a wonderful Easter. Ford and I went to my sister's on Friday. Daddy went racing (he joined us later). While we were there, Ford went to an Easter egg hunt at Jackson's school, made rice crispy easter eggs and helped dye (watched) some eggs too. Aunt Amanda always has fun things to do. On Sunday, we had a packed day. The sermon at Church was great. We had a wonderful lunch we also had fun seeing the Easter bunny, hunting eggs and seeing family. Ford loved his Easter basket and prizes from family. Oh, and he liked the Easter bunny. He kept watching him and turing his body to make sure he had a good view. Overall Ford enjoyed his first Easter. He was tired when we got back home though. Here are a few pictures of the family on Sunday. Enjoy.

Easter outfit.

We were not going to be in Birmingham on Easter. So, Ford wore his Easter outfit the Sunday before to our church. Here are a few pictures of him getting ready to go to church. He liked making his camera face and looking at himself in the mirror.

Part 2 Snow!

Let it Snow!

What a great way to wake up! I love hte snow and the last time I remember snow (and I mean good snow) was in 1992. We got Ford all dressed and headed outside. We went out once this morning and then again after his nap. We had a great time with Pops building a snowman. We had 4 inches of snow at our house and everything looked wonderful. I was sad to see it all melt away! All in all Ford enjoyed his First snow!
