Ford had a big Christmas!

Ford had a big First Christmas. We went to Selma for several days. While we were there we went to Pratville to see Santa. Ford did great. We then had Christmas Eve in Selma. We finally got a good family photo! After Santa came we drove back to Birmingham to Pops house to do Christmas with Kyle's family. As you can see in the last photo Ford likes to open his gifts. He started to open his gifts before we were even ready. He received so many nice things from everyone. We would like to thank everyong for his gifts. We are enjoying playing with them all.

Fords first tooth!

After Church on Sunday I took some pictures of Ford in his christmas clothes. He is so precious!

Ford is now 7 months and 5 days and he has his first tooth. This morning, I was trying out a new sippy cup and in order to get him to suck on it I was putting my finger in his mouth. He bit down on my finger as he does to sippy cups and I felt the tooth. Here is a piture of him after I made a big deal about it. He was so proud!

Christmas card photos

Here are a few shots I liked when we were taking pictures for the Christmas card. I think I took almost 60 pictures. The last one is the one we used. I just loved the unposed ones and thought I would share.

Getting ready for Christmas.

We started to decorate for Christmas this week. Ford loves the lights. He was holding a set for us. Ford also went with Kyle and I to pick out our tree. He was so cute in his roudolph outfit. We had to put him in a blanket because it was cold. Once we got home he sat in front of the tree for a quick pose for Mommy. He is sooo cute! Christmas shall be fun.

Ford is now sitting the bath tub!

Ford is still growing so fast. His new thing over the holidays is that he is now sitting up in the bath. He was being hard to deal with in his tub on the sling that we used, so I decided to sit him up and he did so great. We are so proud of him!

My new hobby!

Here are a few outfits I made while I was in Selma for Thanksgiving. My Mom is a great teacher. I made all of the pants and a few of the shirts. I am saving up money to purchase my own machine. It is so much fun and addictive.

6 Months!!!

On Monday, we went to Ford's 6 Month check up. It went well. He is 17 pounds and 2.5 ounces. He is now 26 inches long. He is growing on target. His weight is average and his height is around 40th percentile. Kyle was off on Monday so he got to go with me. I was glad because I hate it when Ford gets shots. This trip he had 5 and a prick on the heel. Poor thing, but he did good. I wish there was a way to reward him. All I could do is hug and kiss him. We are thankful for the good check up!

High chair time

On Thursday I put Ford in his high chair to see if he would sit up good enough to eat and he did. I was so excited, because he was getting to big to feed in my lap. We started first letting him play with toys and a bowl. He liked it so then I fed him. It got a little messy, but it worked. He is growing up so fast. Everyday he is doing new things.

Ford's First Halloween!

We had a great Halloween. We started off playing inside with Daddy. We then took it outside and played on the sidewalk in his walker until Pops got here . He loved it and was going so fast! We then got him into his puppy dog outfit. He was not to sure about that, but we got a few pictures in while he was happy. Ford was not to happy when all the kids started to come up to trick or treat. They scared him. So, we put him down and sat on the front porch to hand out candy. It was lots of fun!

Ford's First Haircut!!

Today I took Ford to get his First haircut. I called a friend to get a name of a place that cut kids hair. She told me of a place she and some of our mutual friends took their kids. So, I looked up the place on the internet and called and made an appointment. Little did I know there are two places with the same name. So you know where this story is going. I went to the wrong one! I did not know I had made the appointment to the wrong place until I got there. It all went fine and the girl that did his hair was really nice. I will just look closer next time to make sure of multiple listings under the same name! Ford did great. He just kept trying to look at the girl to see what she was doing. We are glad to say his mullet is gone. He now looks like a little boy. We are so happy he enjoyed the experience. Next time Mommy will know where to go! :) We will put this one under lessons learned.

Ford and his walker

I decided to get Ford's walker out to see if he could use it. When I put him in it he loved it. I was not sure because it makes him lean forward a good bit but he did good holding his body back. I gave him a little push to let him know it moved. He was excited and caught on quickly. When he noticed he was getting closer he started to smile so big. He was soo proud of himself as I was of him also. My little boy is getting so big!

Pumkin Carving continued

Here are a few more pictures from today. These are the finished product. Again we had so much fun. I am glad we took time to do this. Now our house looks like halloween!

Carving Pumkins!

We carved pumkins for the first time as a family! We all had lots of fun. Ford had fun watching Daddy get dirty cleaning them out. He also enjoyed touching the pumkins when he got close enought to one. He is learning to smile for the camera. Which makes me very happy. He usually has a serious look all the time in photos.
